I had thoughts of our babe’s nursery well before finding out the gender. Once we found out that we were having a little gal, I immediately started googling, pinteresting, and instagramming nurseries for inspo.
I knew I did not want the traditional pink spewed all over the room as that is not my personal taste. I wanted neutrals, greens, and subtle light pinks/mauves as the room allowed without going overboard.

I searched BuyBuyBaby, Wayfair, and Overstock for furniture for weeks. Do you know how hard it is to shop for furniture without actually seeing it in person? Mike and I drove to our nearest BuyBuyBaby which is about 40 minutes away to see if the furniture I was thinking I wanted was in stock. Of course it wasn’t. I was down to two options and obtained swatches from both companies (highly recommend doing this!). One was a light grey and the other more whitewashed. I asked both my mom and grandma for their advice- both voting for the latter for a little gal so I pulled the trigger and have never been happier that I did! The antique-y white has some streaks of grey which looks great with our walls that were already painted when we moved into our house.

I then pulled in some natural wood & gold accents and greens in her crib sheet and greenery around the room.

This is by far my favorite room in the house. Of course, since her arrival and the time these pictures were taken, there are a lot more books (had to put up another shelf), a wall of bows (duh!), and we got the changing topper that was bolted to her dresser. I hope as she grows, she enjoys this room as much as her mom!
