Last weekend we celebrated CeCe’s 3rd Birthday with all things dinosaurs! She has been requesting a dino party for MONTHS! Even with some questionable weather on Saturday (causing us to postpone to Sunday), everything worked out and we had a really great time!

Maria from Maria’s Marvelous Decor set the tone for our party again this year. Not only is she super talented, but she is also a joy to work with. Two years in a row now, she has been able to adjust our setup days due to rain. If you’re local to Central IL, I cannot recommend her more!

Cookies, cake and cake pops from Baked Blessings by Lisa. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t even get a picture of the cake, but trust me when I tell you, her work is amazing and there wasn’t a bite of dessert left over.

I ordered these cute and custom dinos from the Etsy shop, PaintedParade. They made for great decorations and now great toys!

Danielle Moss had a Dinosaur themed party for her daughters just a couple of weeks before CeCe’s and when I read her post I saw that we had a lot of the same stuff! But what I didn’t have was plates, napkins, cups, etc. (There’s isn’t a whole lot of girly, dino, paper goods out there.) But she had shared these and I had to have them!

For the pool, I found these cutie-pa-tootie floats on Amazon.

Though the kids spent most of the party swimming, we had a few other play stations set up for them. One was this Dino Dig table. We opted for Kinetic Sand instead of the regular stuff and CeCe has been using it a TON! A great outdoor alternative to a water table when the weather cools down.

We also bought this Giant Dinosaur Coloring Poster as a tablecloth for the kid’s table and stocked it with crayons, markers, colored pencils, and these Etsy dinosaur crayons. Keith picked out this Magna-tiles Dino World set for one of her gifts and it was a great addition to the play area for the kiddos.
For party favors, all the kids got to take home some mini dinos from SMWCREATIONZ Etsy shop and a Dig It Up! Discoveries Shimmer Dinosaur Egg. They were all having a blast trying to dig out their dinos from the eggs. A bit messy, but a great activity that keeps them busy!
Lastly, here is a link to her big gift, the Jurassic Park Jeep!
And that’s a wrap on the 3 Rex Birthday! When I asked her what her favorite part of the day was she said “swimming with my friends, of course.” She then asked if she could have a flower birthday next time, so let’s see if that’s still what she wants when the time actually rolls around!
