Dax Shepard Is Listening - The New York Times

Armchair Expert
“Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment.

What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert.

Dr. Death
Dr. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon who radiated confidence. He claimed he was the best in Dallas. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications. And all they had to protect them was a system ill equipped to stop the madness.

From Wondery, the network behind the hit podcast Dirty John, DR. DEATH is about a medical system that failed to protect these patients at every possible turn. Reported and hosted by Laura Beil.

Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend
After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that. Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

Keep It Weird – Podcast – Podtail

Keep It Weird
Keep it Weird is created by, produced, edited, and hosted by two weird women– Ashley Casseday and Lauren Ogle.  Friends for 9 years and always fans of the paranormal and supernatural, they decided they wanted to do more than tell each other spooky stories over a bottle of wine.

The podcast world is oversaturated with true crime and paranormal podcasts that feature two hosts telling each other weird stories– so we looked to bring something a little more to the table.

Ashley and Lauren are joined weekly by a guest to talk about anything STRANGE.  Ranging from the Bermuda triangle to witchcraft, artificial and extraterrestrial intelligence to the multiverse theory, and even twins to tumors.

We find guests who have had their own experiences with the paranormal or are just fascinated by it, and we really try and take a deep look at the subject at hand– providing alternate theories, doing the research, and looking past what wikipedia has to offer.
