May Book Wall

Yeah, I know we’re halfway through the month but I got it done! We were suppose to be taking CeCe to NYC for the first time this week and we’re pretty bummed that it isn’t happening. So I filled the shelves with NYC books along with some of my personal favorites, and of course, mommy and me books inspired by Mother’s Day.

NYC BOOKS
The Women Who Made New York This book is super special to us. I gifted a copy to my friend Katie years ago and this Christmas she gifted a copy to Cecilia. It’s filled with amazing history about the women who paved the way for the rest of us in my most favorite city.
NYC ABC’s
An Armadillo in New York
Good Night New York City
AB to Jay-Z Okay, so this book is technically about all of the hip-hop kings and queens but Jay-Z and NYC go hand-in-hand.

MAMA BOOKS
Everything is Mama
My Mom is Magical
I Love You, Mommy
I Love My Mommy Because
A Hug Is for Holding Me

SOME FUN FAVORITES
Flora The Flamingo is a darling interactive picture book.
Cecilia, We Wish You More: My Aunts gifted us this book at Cecilia’s shower. I love that it’s personalized to her.
Bloom A Story of Fashion Designer Elsa Schiaparelli: Love the message behind her story. She was an outcast (even in her own family) but continued to be herself and share her talents with the world.
Love is I feel like I read this weekly. I love the simple story about taking care of something and dealing with them growing up. Plus the illustrations are stunning!
Yoga Bunny This is just a fun(ny) book about a rabbit that does yoga. haha I dig it!

I’m loving how colorful it’s looking this month. I got these tassels from Amazon and think I’m going to leave them up for June.

I’d love to hear what some of your favorite children’s books are. IMO, you can never have too many!!
