For Cecilia’s monthly photos we typically take a trip to Dunkin to get seasonal donuts for the photos.
Like most people, we are currently working to stay home as much as possible so we decided to make our own donuts this month.
I found this super simple, four ingredient, recipe on lots of Pinterest posts.
DONUTS:
1 box of cake mix
1 egg
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Mix all ingredients until combined. Dump batter into ziploc bag, cut one corner and pipe into donuts pans.
Bake at 350 for 17-20 mins.
While donuts are cooling, make icing.
ICING:
1 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Add 1 tbsp milk at a time until you get the consistency you’d like.
We split our icing – half white, half green.
Dip donuts in icing and add ALL the SPRINKLES!
That’s it. Perfect for those mornings when you want to have cake for breakfast. 😊
