My FAVORITE Simple Bagel Recipe

I have been making this Skinny Taste Easy Bagel Recipe for years now and it is my favorite. It is only 5 ingredients (praise be) and I love to mix up my add-ins to make different flavors! I always make a jalapeño cheddar and recently have been loving to make pizza bagels as well! I’ve also considered blueberry, onion, and just plain EBTB (everything but the bagel!)

Ingredients:
*I doubled to make 4 of each bagel*

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • salt
  • 1 egg
  • ADD-INS:
    • Diced jalapeño & cheddar
    • Mini pepperonis, mozzarella, oregano

Instructions:

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt in bowl (I usually incorporate my add-ins during this step but forgot during my first batch😆)
  2. Add in Greek yogurt and with fork, mix well until it turns into crumbles
  3. Removed from bowl and on a lightly floured surface, knead dough (I knead until dough doesn’t stick to my hands/fingers)
  4. Divide into fourths and roll into ropes then form into bagels
  5. Brush with egg and add extra cheese (duh!)
  6. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes OR in the air fryer at 300 for 14 minutes
    *I threw two into the air fryer to see how they would turn out and I MUCH preferred the air fryer method!!*
  7. Let cool and ENJOY!

These are best right after cooled but we will also keep extras in the fridge and then toss them in the toaster! Nom nom nom!
