Since moving here in August it’s been a challenge to make this place our own. It is SO overwhelming furnishing, and then decorating, an entire home. Especially when you’re coming from a one bedroom apartment.
Little by little, room by room, we are making progress and I wanted to share the updates I’ve made to spruce up the guest room.
We didn’t put a lot of thought into this room at first and just threw our old bedroom furniture in the space and called it a day. I really want to make this a place where my friends can feel comfortable and relaxed.
BEFORE

AFTER
Okay, I know that the reveal isn’t SUPER dramatic. I have BIGGER visions for this space (like a lot of the house) but this is definitely a step in the right direction during the process. I’m currently looking for the perfect light fixture.
I’ve learned quickly that home styling is a lot more like a marathon than a sprint. I do love all of the small additions I’ve made and we will continue to layer and adjust as time goes on.
This corner with the chair is my favorite moment in the room. I really do love home decor, it just takes me a minute to get it right! 🙂
I LOVE a clean, white room, but I’m thinking this space could use some paint. Or maybe wallpaper? What do you think??
xx,
Brit
